The Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (BVR SCIENT) is a unique partnership on the IITH campus with its own building, teaching and learning facilities. It is established in collaboration with IIT-Hyderabad, Cyient Foundation (the CSR wing of Cyient Ltd.) and the Shibodhi Foundation (family foundation of Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy). The School aims to nurture and develop world-class innovation and entrepreneurial talent. BVR SCIENT strategically utilizes and benefits from the diverse departments at IITH, tapping into their vast technical knowledge and expertise.
Department of Entrepreneurship and Management (DEM) at IIT-Hyderabad, which is now located in BVR SCIENT currently offers Bachelor’s, Master’s Degrees and PhD level programs focused on entrepreneurship, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. BVR SCIENT enriches these offerings with certificate courses in entrepreneurship, design thinking, innovation management and lean start-up courses.

Prof Jhumkee Iyengar
IIT Mumbai
Prof.Jhumkee has over 25 years of experience in the US and India, having held technical and leadership positions in Fortune 500 companies, been an independent consultant, entrepreneur, researcher and writer and has also been a teacher and mentor both in industry and academia. She is a certified instructor for Pittsburgh, USA based LUMA Institute, teaching Human Centered Design to corporate leaders. She conceptualized, created and taught a course on User Experience Design at the MIT Institute of Design Pune and at the National Institute of Design, Bangalore. She is an Adjunct Faculty at IIT Kanpur, having successfully taught a project-based course on People Centered Design and Innovation to postgraduate Design and Management students over the past years. Jhumkee holds an MS in Human Factors Engineering Design from Tufts University Boston, an M.Des. in Product Design from IDC, IIT Mumbai and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from COEP, Pune.
