At BVR SCIENT we believe in the power of entrepreneurship to drive positive societal change, innovation in existing businesses and new venture creation to foster the country’s economic growth and advancement. Entrepreneurship must become an integral part of education and professional development.
BVR SCIENT is established to accelerate the transformation of the Indian entrepreneurial ecosystem into a global leader in technological innovation and social change. This will be the path to “Viksit Bharath”, the key to our collective progress.
What
BVR SCIENT is a unique Institute established in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad with a collective goal to instill entrepreneurial mindset amongst youngsters and create a thriving innovation ecosystem to transform the entrepreneurial landscape across the country.

Our programs are carefully designed by research-driven faculty who strive to bring the latest in management and technological research to the classroom. The design also considers industry relevance of the topic and brings in appropriate case studies to enhance the knowledge, skill sets and exposure of the learners.

Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy
Founder Chairman of Cyient
Dr BVR Mohan Reddy is Founder Chairman of Cyient, a company he founded and built (earlier Infotech Enterprises) in 1991, with the vision of providing engineering services to global markets. He established the “Engineered in India” brand and led Cyient to contribute more than $5 billion in cumulative exports to several international customers, including many Fortune 100 companies. Dr BVR Mohan Reddy is also the Founding Director of T-Hub, the largest start-up incubation center in India. He has taken up several leadership positions to promote higher education. At present, he is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Hyderabad and IIT Roorkee. Dr BVR Mohan Reddy holds postgraduate degrees in engineering from IIT Kanpur and the University of Michigan, USA.
Prof. B.S. Murty
Director, IIT Hyderabad
Prof. B.S. Murty is Director of IIT Hyderabad from August 26, 2019. Prof. Murty started his academic journey with BE from VRCE Nagpur in 1986 and ME from IISc Bangalore in 1988. He obtained his PhD (1992) from IISc, Bangalore. After serving at IIT Kharagpur for 12 years, he has been a Professor at IIT Madras since 2004. He is an Institute Professor at IIT Madras and an Adjunct Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University and the University of British Columbia, Canada.
DR. PNSV Narasimham
President & Head Of Corporate Functions, Cyient
PNSV Narasimham, or Nam as he is known to his colleagues, is the President & Head of Corporate Functions at Cyient. He is responsible for leadership development, recruitment, and engagement for senior leaders across Cyient’s group of companies. Additionally, he is responsible for Company Secretarial, Government Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), ESG and New Infrastructure across the group. Nam has established, scaled, and stabilized HR functions in global organizations across the manufacturing, service, and technology sectors. He holds an MBA in Human Resources and a PhD from the University of Bristol.
Prof. Surya Kumar. S
Dean – Innovation, Translation and Start-ups, IIT Hyderabad
Professor Surya is Dean – Innovation, Translation and Start-ups at IIT Hyderabad. He is Professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering & Artificial Intelligence
He did BTech & MTech (Dual Degree) from IIT Madras and PhD from IIT Bombay, and has been with IIT Hyderabad as faculty since 2010

Dr Sudhakar Potukuchi
CEO – BVR SCIENT
Dr. Sudhakar is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of leadership experience working with top MNCs like GE, Eaton and Sterlite Power. He is proficient in managing innovation teams, setting corporate innovation agenda and building innovation ecosystem with external innovation partners. He has been the teaching faculty for Six Sigma, Business systems, Management and Innovation Skills. Sudhakar completed his Executive MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and been awarded the ISB Scholar of Excellence. Sudhakar holds a Bachelor of Technology from IIT Madras and Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Delaware (USA).
Sumita Thakur
Head Programs & Outreach, BVR SCIENT
Sumita has more than 20 years of experience in Higher Education Programs and Institutional growth. Associated with stellar institutes such as ISB, INSEAD, and Wharton. Experienced in degree and certificate programs launch, marketing & admissions, institutional branding, fundraising and partnerships. Also worked with Global Education Start-ups on setting up the India business – Eruditus, Emeritus and Crimson Education. Been entrepreneur providing education consulting for admissions and edutech ventures. Sumita holds B.Tech from NIT Durgapur and MS from University of Hawaii, USA
